Hagupit! named after the typhoon that made a threat to the Philippines. December 5 some when in mid-day of Saturday was the expected arrival of this storm. One the possible affected areas was Negros Occidental my homeland. I prepared and packed all the things that I'm going to need. From buying canned foods, noodles, rice and eggs to candles matches and DVD movies for entertainment. Hagupit was expected to pass two days or three but of course just in case I need to prepare for anything since I heard it from the news that Hagupit might be a strong as the countries previous year super typhoon Yolanda.
So I always checked the internet, facebook and listen to my fm radio on my phone for emergency updates. I woke up the next day it was already raining but not that strong I can still see a lot of people walking outside, with umbrella and raincoats of course, and the is not that strong. But it rain the whole day that I didn't had a chance to meet and greet mr. Sun that day. So I started to watch the DVD movies and had a movie marathon the whole. After watching it was almost 5pm when I checked my facebook again and saw a picture of an electric post falling due to strong wind in the side of the high in Tacloban city. But so far the rain in our place still low and I still have no news on some major damage what Hagupit has brought in Negros Occidental.
I prayed that Hagupit will just pass by the Philippines like a normal rain and everyone would be safe.
